Mean People, horrible service, overcharge scam artists

Posted bybadpizzaon 2/8/2009

I have called ahead to order food three times. They charged me twice for toppings that were not on the pizza. I gave it one more chance because the pizza is good. They told me 25 minutes, I arrived in 30 and they made me wait an additional 30 minutes. It seems these are just angry dishonest scam-artist kids running this place. Definitely beware of the guy who slices the pizza and girl who works the register and sometimes serves the food. They broadcast their intentions to rip you off with their shady looks and are unwilling to give you a receipt. Double check your credit card or bank card later on as all my instincts tell me their is serious fraud at this establishment. I'll never go there again.

Good greasy pizza

This isn't a full service restaurant, you order at the counter, you are given your glasses for drinks and you find your own table. No steak sauce? Duh! Anyway, we're at this restaurant at least once a week. Great pizza, very greasy, but very good. Some great sandwiches too. I like the veal parmesan sandwich, myself. I haven't had much luck with the pasta yet though, it's usually overchooked and the sauce is nothing special, in fact rather flavorless. Stick to the pizza and subs and you can't go wrong. Be aware though, it can be packed at dinner time, you may want to get take out as they don't deliver.

Good pizza (considering you're in NC), Great cheesesteaks.

I don't know what the last guy was complaining about. It's a family pizza joint, not a classy trattoria. Anyone asking for an A1 with their cheesesteak does not know much about cheesesteaks. But I digress. Take it for what it is. A local place with really tasty cheesesteaks and decent pizza. I've also tried the gnocchi, which is pretty good as well. Overall, a nice place to eat for displaced yanks (like me) craving a slice or good cheesesteak. Half the restaurant is smoking though, but they ventilate pretty well.

Don't expect any service, you may enjoy the food.

They don't have my first choice of beer so I order another. No biggie. I ask for a glass of water. I'm told, "We no longer offer water, but you can buy botttle water." Um, no thanks. I pick a seat to wait for my food. The girl that took my order sits down and begain talking with the waitress . After a few minutes, I got up to ask where I might get my beer that I ordered. I get the food and it was tasty, but do not expect any steak sauce for your steak and cheese because you guessed it, " we do not have steak sauce". I saw another table get up to refill their own drinks. I quickly realized I must be expecting too much. With no visits from my waitress, I finished my meal got up and left and don't plan to go back.
